Lisa Ould joined The Barnabas Center in 2000 and has worked with individuals, couples and families in a variety of mentoring and counseling capacities. Lisa passionately desires the church to be better equipped to care for its people. After many years of ministry in Charlotte, Lisa moved to Richmond, VA, and subsequently began The Barnabas Center-Richmond in 2009.

Although she began formal counseling in 1997, Lisa has been in ministry since the late 1980s, volunteering with adolescents and their families through the ministry of Young Life and working for several churches. Lisa is a nationally certified licensed professional counselor (LPC), holds a master’s degree in counseling (marriage and family therapy concentration) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a bachelor’s degree in retail management from Hood College. She is married to Nelson who is a pastor in Richmond, and they have one daughter. Lisa finds joy in partnering with Nelson in ministry through Barnabas and Community West Church. In her spare time she loves to swim, take long walks, and be with her family, friends and dog anywhere that involves the outdoors and coffee.

Andrea Mitchell joined the Barnabas Center, Richmond office, in August 2012. Andrea works with individuals, couples, families and adolescents, and specializes in helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, and eating disorders.  Andrea received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and her Masters of Social Work from VCU (2000). Andrea has experience counseling groups and individuals in community mental health, adolescent substance abuse, schools, private practice, and non-profit settings. Andrea blends a Biblical perspective with research based methodology to help people heal and grow in their relationship with God.

Andrea passionately believes in the dignity of each person, in particular how seeing the image of God in people is a bridge to racial reconciliation in the city of Richmond.  She is married to Freddie, they have three children and one dog. Andrea loves to be outside in the sunshine, mountain biking, or reading a good book.

Kim Greene is a Counselor with the Barnabas Center. She earned her BA in Psychology from Wake Forest University and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. She worked for nine years in college ministry, mentoring students and supervising staff. Since 2005, Kim has been the Director of Women’s Leadership Development at West End Presbyterian Church, training leaders, counseling and writing curriculum. She joined the Barnabas Center part-time in 2014. She counsels individuals and couples, and facilitates Barnabas Training groups. Kim is married to Kevin, and they have two teenage children. She enjoys being with her family, listening to live music, and finding a good quote.

Dan earned a BA in Psychology from Flagler College and his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He worked in student ministry and community mental health before counseling in the Oviedo Counseling Clinic. He has experience counseling, teaching and training, individuals, couples and groups.

Michelle Conrad is the Administrative Assistant for the Richmond office. As the only support staff in Richmond, Michelle schedules client appointments, keeps the Richmond database updated, helps with organizing the details before and after trainings, groups and events, as well as various other administrative tasks as needed.

Michelle holds a BA in Sociology from Covenant College. She is married to Andrew, and they have four children. She thoroughly enjoys serving alongside her husband in ministry at Spring Run Presbyterian Church in Midlothian.

Kim joined Barnabas in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant serving as a Client Coordinator and Database Administrator. She earned a B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University, and afterward worked in non-profit development.  Kim is married to Roger, and they have three daughters.  She enjoys volunteering at her church and her daughters’ school, playing tennis, and reading a good book (preferably while sitting on a beach somewhere).
