SUMMARY:Barnabas Training Basic
DESCRIPTION:Do you ever think to yourself\, “Why is community so difficult to find after college?” or “What’s behind the snarky comments my boss makes?” or “There has to be more to friendships than what I’m experiencing.”  If you find yourself surrounded by people but don’t have many deep friendships or if you wish your conversations could get past the surface\, Barnabas Training Basic could be just the thing to begin to address your thoughts and questions. \nBarnabas Training Basic equips you to see yourself and others in ways that foster deeper relationships. This biblically based seminar helps you understand others by gaining a biblical understanding of your own heart. It includes sound teaching\, personal examples\, and an interactive small group experience\, plus reflective time to practically apply the principles. The seminar will help you better understand yourself as well as invite others into a deeper relationship in Christ. \nDate: Saturday\, October 25\, 2025\nLocation:  Hope Community Church – Old Providence site\nTime: Registration opens 8:30a; Training runs 9:00a – 4:00p\nCost: Early registration is $80 per person if registered on or by 10/10/25; late registration is $110 after that date. \nRegistration will close Wednesday\, October 22nd so we hope you’ll sign up soon! \nClick here for more info or to register! \nPlease contact Jamie Swartzendruber with any questions at jamie@thebarnabascenter.org.

SUMMARY:To Be Told Group
DESCRIPTION:As we delve into the narratives of our lives\, we begin to recognize how our experiences have shaped us. \n\n\n\n\nDo you have a desire to better understand yourself and discover more fully who God has created you to be? As we explore the narratives of our lives\, we begin to recognize how our experiences have shaped us\, and we find healing and hope in the remarkable story that God is authoring through us. \nMary Patterson will be running a 7-week story group for up to 6 women. There will be a particular emphasis on sharing stories of pain and wounding from childhood\, with the goal of offering compassionate witness to one another in a way that brings insight\, healing\, and freedom. Our stories become clearer and more meaningful when shared within a supportive and encouraging community\, and that’s precisely what this group will offer. \nThe group will start on Thursday\, May 28th and will run through July 23rd (skipping June 25th and July 2nd). It will be held at The Barnabas Center from 6:30pm-8:30pm on those seven Thursdays. Also – we know summer is a busy season for many with travel and other plans\, so each group member will be allowed to miss one group if needed. \nPlease note: A brief application followed by a pre-screening call with Mary Patterson are required prior to registering so please contact the front desk to receive the application and then schedule that call. Our number is 704-365-4545\, and the email is OfficeAdmin@thebarnabascenter.org.  \nThe cost for this group will be $375. (Scholarship applications available upon request to Cinda Hutchinson at chutchinson@thebarnabascenter.org.) \nTo find out more please visit  https://ToBeToldGroup2026.eventbrite.com. \n\n\n  \n
