Mary has expanded her capacity to engage the human heart to bring healing and transformation through her training with The Allender Center at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. She has participated in Level I, Level II, and Level III of the Narrative Focused Trauma Care training programs.

Mary sees individuals (18+) seeking healing from:

  • Trauma
  • Abuse (sexual, emotional, physical, spiritual, racial etc.)
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Family of origin issues
  • Relationship issues
  • Grief and loss
  • Low self-esteem
  • Bullying

She sees older adolescents on a case-by-case basis. She also sees growth-oriented individuals looking to better understand their story, deepen their capacity to relate with others, and maximize their gifts to become more of who God is calling them to be.

Mary is a trauma- informed practitioner and employs several modalities including The Allender Theory, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory. She also integrates somatic awareness and mindfulness techniques. She also has a deep care for advocacy, social justice, and multicultural counseling. She strives to provide therapy that values and respects ethnic and cultural heritage, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, abilities, religion, and spiritual belief differences.

Mary finds the healing process to be beautiful, sacred, and holy. She is honored to walk alongside suffering people as they seek to find Christ’s healing and redemption. Mary understands that everyone has felt pain in this world. She believes that telling our stories– both the beautiful and the broken– in the presence of a wise and kind witness has the power to transform our lives.

Mary lives in Charlotte with her husband, Jay, and their French Bulldog, Adele. She loves good conversations with friends over the dinner table and enjoys hosting people in her home. A native Floridian, Mary loves the sunshine and will take any opportunity to spend time on the water!
