Kurt Zuiderveen

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor

Kurt Zuiderveen joined The Barnabas Center in 2008. Kurt earned his bachelor’s from Grand Valley State in Michigan and his master’s in counseling in 2004 from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. Before joining The Barnabas Center, Kurt gained counseling experience through private practice, the church setting, and state-funded counseling programs.

Kurt is trained in EMDR, which is a therapeutic way of processing trauma focusing on the mind/body response to distressing situations.

Kurt sees individual men, women, and couples for:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Grief
  • Marital conflict
  • Past trauma
  • Sexual brokenness

Through a kind understanding of the problem and a curious exploration of our internal reaction to that in a safe place, Kurt believes that healing/change/growth can happen even if the situations do not change.

He is married to April and they have three children.

Kurt divides his time between our main office in Charlotte and our office in Davidson.
